Why ride? It's the first question we ask you and there's no wrong answer. It can be because you've never done it before, or you'd like to compete. It can be because you never tried it as a kid or want to get back in the saddle. Maybe you want the exercise or just the mental benefits from being around the horses. Whatever your reason, the answer is going to be what helps us design the best lesson program for you.

Our experience in a variety of disciplines allows us to offer engaging, enthusiastic lessons that both non-competitive and competitive riders of all ages can enjoy.

At Legacy Equestrian we also understand how chaotic life can be and reflect that in our lesson scheduling, cancellation and payment policies. Whether you're looking for a regularly weekly slot, bi-weekly or are just looking to fit it in around your busy schedule, we have a lesson option that can work for you.

***Safety first! At Legacy, helmets are mandatory for ALL riders and areprovided at no charge.***

Lesson FAQ's

  • What ages do you teach? We accept riders ages 4 to adult.
  • What equipment do I need to start? Nothing except for long pants. We have helmets and a small supply of boots. If you have your own with a 1/2"-1" heel that's ideal.
  • When do you teach? Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays by appointment only.
  • What is your lesson cancellation policy? 48 hours notice. Exceptions may be made in case of illness, weather and family emergency.
  • What is your lesson payment policy? Lesson packages are due on the last lesson of the previous set. Cash lessons must pay one lesson ahead.
  • When do lesson packages expire? 6 months from the date of purchase for packages of 4 to 16 lessons. 12 months from the date of purchase for packages of 17 lessons or more. Alternative arrangements can be made for medical reasons.
  • When should I arrive for my lesson? For your first lesson, please arrive at your assigned time. Once you can safely saddle your horse independently, please arrive 20-30 minutes prior to your lesson time to allow ample time for grooming and being in the arena at your allotted time.
  • Is there a weight restriction for riders? We will ask for your height and weight when you schedule your first session and discuss any concerns with you.
